Senior Design Manager,
Product Development
Allison Rose
ABOUT
I am a passionate, creative leader with a diverse background in product design, product development, trend research, packaging design, branding, graphic design, illustration, surface design, toy design, and textile prints. It may sound cliché, but this is my dream job. Follow your dreams, they know the way.
When I'm not designing and leading a creative team, I enjoy having fun with my family, traveling, small adventures around Chicago, or just hanging out in the oasis of our backyard garden. I also enjoy screenprinting textiles, gardening, interior design, cooking, and creating charcuterie boards.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
-
I continually expand my creative reach and abilities, engaging myself in a broad range of artistic endeavors, including teaching 1st Time Screen Printing at Lill Street Art Center in Chicago.
-
The Room Décor products I have created with my current team have consistently beaten plan in 2020-2022 and have had the largest beat to plan in 2021-2022 of all departments in the company. Prior to my coming on board in 2019, Room Décor was the poorest performing department in the company. It is absolutely a team effort, but employing strategic design in partnership with our buying team and Sr. Leadership, we created beautifully designed product that is not only innovative but performs well.
-
At Reynolds consumer products, I created a pattern for a disposable, coffee cup based off of interior design patterns popular on HGTV. Initially poorly received by our marketing team, I was able to convince them to move forward with the design and ultimately beat out competition in the market.
-
In the creative industry, we sometimes encounter teams we have to partner with who at times don't value design. It is our responsibility as creative leaders to influence teams by demonstrating the business value of good design. Good design sells when it's right for the company.
